Ideal Corsa Carb?
I have been watching the threads with z50r and Wheelman talking about different carb sizes for a corsa (or maybe any 72cc) ... I am about to start my winter bbk Corsa build project and am wondering which will be the best performance and easiest to tune with my corsa.

If things go as they usually do in Scooterdom, the ideal carb is midway between a 21 and a 24. Start looking for a 22.5mm OKO today!

I will be on the lookout for that, but it may be hard to find jets forWheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:

So it poses the question which would be say is the safer bet? (I know thats a loaded question),
..... and I know every set up never works the same in any bike.....so more thoughts

The little carb with big jets would be the safer bet but not the best performance.KingJeff801 wrote: ... So it poses the question which would be say is the safer bet? (I know thats a loaded question) ...

Re: Ideal Corsa Carb?
Greetings:
The 24mm OKO seems fairly well-matched to the Corsa using current 46 Pilot and a 120 Main. I've deliberately jetted it rich enough to handle cool morning air, letting it go rich on warm afternoons. At some point I may try to enable the Power Jet feature or install a Dial-A-Jet to optimize for weather changes.
Z50R_Ghost is using a 21mm OKO with almost the same jet setup, but says he's running rich - predictably enough. I had to go as high as 60/160 using a 30mm OKO.

Does the 21mm have a power jet?

Re: Ideal Corsa Carb?
Hey guys,
The OKO 21mm is not available with a Power Jet; the only carb OKO offers with a Power Jet is the 24mm, like Mr. Wheelman has. I did have a Koso 30mm carb that had a Power Jet, and it was really tricky to jet.
I am going to do some more testing tonight, and I will report back. So far though, the 21mm has ran freaking great.

Re: Ideal Corsa Carb?
Where's the ideal place to buy a 24mm carb and related jets?
Also, what's a good intake pipe & reed valve? (Ebay ones, or?)
Can someone tell me/ us more about the power jet feature?
Thanks....
~Patrick

Re: Ideal Corsa Carb?
As for my intake manifold, I have a Stage 6 / KOSO (small) intake manifold with a Moto Tassinari reed block. I had to order it from Germany, though. I like it much more than my previous "CT" mani.

"Ideal" jet sizes (both pilot & main) for an 82cc bore with a 28mm carb would be?
Also, can someone tell me a little on power jets?
Thanks....
