I too have a couple pic's of Maddog's scooters from years ago. The guy does own, or has owned some serious machines. Very clean stuff.

I'm not going to post them up either, if Maddog wants his scoots shown off on this site then I am going to let him do it.
He may have owned or does now own a scooter or two but from his inane ramblings, I doubt very much if he does his own work, because anything built like he suggests would be a pig to ride. If you will notice he has only sent pics to individuals and never posts them on an open forum, which leads one to believe the pics are not of his own equipment.

Greetings:

Jon you have the coolest Aero whereof there is proof of its recent existence. :) Now why won't you reinstall that left side panel? Can't bring yourself to cut it down?!

Aside from the issue of needing to hunt down a crate to work on the scooter, your sidestand is perfect. Great lean angle and clean design. Plus it does away with the annoying Centerstand Clank that invariably occurs when you pull in over the curb at work with people watching. (Frequent protestation to co-workers:  "Yeah I ride a Honda 50 but it goes over 60 MPH and I'm not a * Nerd! No, Really!! ) (Not that there's anything wrong with that...)

What'd be even better is if you could let all of us Lesser Scooteristi know where to get one. Better still, surely there's enough demand here to Bulk Buy some of these elusive sidestands. Might even carve a chunk out of the outrageous price I know you (over)paid. I'd sign up for say, $35. How expensive can they really be to make? Taz, Limp, Keoni, can you look into such a Bulk Buy?

Wheelman..... you made me blush. thanks for the compliments, dude.

The elusive left side panel is installed now; and the best part is it fits without any mods, thanks to the Stage 6 / Koso (small) intake manifold which points straight back. (instead of slanted out like the popular "CT")

I have to give credit to elite_dub aka Jay for finding and buying the sidestand for me in Hawaii. The easiest way to get one is to contact Jay! (be sure to ask him nicely, and give him some cash for his efforts) Jay really hooked me up!

You have to *see* the quality of the sidestand to understand why it is so expensive. I am a HUGE fan of Japanese motorcycle performance parts and accessories. They are the best of the best / Honda OEM quality.

Here is the details on the sidestand:

It's made by a Japanese company called Nishimoto.
They call it a "Mini Bike Sidestand."
The Nishimoto part # is: NK-127

Hope this helps guys; -jon :coolcruise:

Jon is dead-on with the quality of this side stand. Nicely built with a heavy gauge metal.

Also, the bolt locations are well thought out. Jon, don't you love that 3rd "little bolt" that goes through the floor board frame from the underside?

I totally agree on the Japanese product quality for Honda bikes and alike. Top notch!

Greetings:

I just Bing-ed NK-127 and WeBike Japan has it for $63.

Plus probably a jillion dollars for shipping.

Quality is nice, but I'd settle for Not-Quite-As-Crappy-As-Wal-Mart if we could get one for say, $50.

You parts hounds could hustle up and sell maybe 20 on this Forum alone if you had any Huevos at all. :)

Bear and Patrick,

I ordered my Stage 6 intake manifold and Moto Tassinari "VForce3" reedblock (no longer available) from SIP Scootershop in Germany.
www.sip-scootershop.com

Here ya go:
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Produ ... UGEOT.aspx

-I went this route because the company KOSO evidently made the BEST most sought after intake manifolds; the Koso "small" and the even better the Koso "large." Anyone who has visited the Hawaiian scooter forum has probably seen how much $ a Koso "small" or "large" goes for. As well, I try to get parts that are different than what most guys have, or try and source the "rare" stuff.

Most do not know this, but about 95% of the high-end brand "Stage 6" parts are made by Koso. The "large" Koso manifold is in fact long gone, but the "small" is identical to the Stage 6 manifold.

Patrick, yep, that 3rd little alignment bolt is a nice touch!!

Anyways, hope this helps guys- later, jon :coolcruise:

Jon, can you tell us a little more in the intake manifold/ reed valve set up you have?
-could you post up some pictures of the parts?

Got any part #'s for the actual "big" and "small" Stage 6 intake manifolds?

THANKS!!!
