-27 degree windchill this morning......

Post by C3Killer »

Ok, so I'm throwing around this idea of vowing to ride the moped 24/7 next year. For one year, I will ride nothing but the moped to work and back. If I go to the grocery store or church, I can take the wifes minivan or my 64 chevy truck, but for my daily, I think its going to be the moped. Anywhoo, I just figured out the windchill this morning, http://www.weatherdesk.org/converts.shtml helped me figure out since it was 16 degrees, and I was going approx 45 mph, my wind chill factor was -27 degrees! I think I will be able to do this. I only have a 3 mile trip to work.

:blah:

I don't know how the ped would do in the snow. 2" wide tires........ice.......snow.......slush........other impatient drivers......May be winter riding is more dangerous than I orginally thought.
