The old sr that i sold to a friend of mine.
Milled head .040
Techno estriol pipe.
Polini rollers 7gr
re jet with some drill bits and some beer.
It would run about 42 or so. Im tipping 245lbs too.

Steve from Vt is gonna put a combo together for the 98 i just picked up.
I had a 99 elite for awhile that had an Mhr kit, Old SEF pipe, intake, 28 pwk, kelli clutch and SEF 9.1 gears.
It did about 75mph when all said and done. I miss it, And i did get 8k out of the stock bottom end.

I'll be sure and post in the build section once i get the new project around.

Greetings:

Does anyone else think 75 MPH on 9:1 gears sounds unlikely? Haven't bothered to do the math, but even discounting belt slip, I think that'd require like 12.5K RPM. Flash spins something like 10.8 to approach 70, but that's with 7.58:1 gears. It is a ZX trans however.

Looks like *? And?? I made it. It was off a tomos a35. The stocker was full of crap oil and 15 years of restriction.
That 93 sr was a $300 project. Why are people so critical on this site? Dude.. its scooters and mopeds. I been affiliated with the moped army for years.

video of me messing around with it.

Much respect to anyone who hand-crafts anything,
I just wanted confirmation on speed and RPM with 9:1 gears.

That was, Has to be a better part of 6 years ago. It did a consistant 65. Maybe it was 70 tops? Idk.

Greetings:

Flash 3.1 Nikasil 78 had 9:1 gears and ran 59, barely breaking 9K.
9/59 = 11/72 if the MHR can manage 11K RPM.

The ZX trans is a tad slower with the Long 669 belt, and perhaps the Corsa won't rev as high with the PG Long as the MHR with
Your custom pipe.

We are talking two different scooters man. The 93 sr in the pic just had a pipe. The one with the mhr kit and all the other stuff I don't have a pic of anymore.

It would whack 70 no problem. I'm not going that big again tho. It was a pain to keep tuned right.

Actually Zook....

-your Techno pipe "adaptation" looks pretty darn good to me, dude...

-Im guessing most of my scooter buddies here on hondaspree have not heard much of Techno Estoril, due to Technos being a moped-based pipe, but Techno makes some TOP NOTCH tuning pipes! Some of their chambers are very aggressively tuned, and make some serious power.

...and 99% of the hondaspree guys ARE super-positive, friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to "what works with what" and "what could be re-thought out." Help is abundant on the forum....

Me? I cant ever bring myself to ever say anything negative about someone's "2 wheeler..."
The way I see it.... -they are proud of their scooter and if they are here on Hondaspree; they have most likely put some serious work, thought, and love into it, so i cant type any "negatives" :thumbwink:

Thanx ghost for speaking up....and for your admirable conduct....next time I feel the impulse to take the cheap shot at somebody, I will remember this post....even though tongue-in-cheek underlies a lot of my comments, it doesn't always translate well and can have negative tone.....salute.... :hi:
