i just put the engine back in the elite today. it started up and made a lound rattaling noise so i re took it apart put it together again and it still sucked so i tryed to rattle whatever it was off, so i rode offroad, and now it doesnt make rattling noses no more. and now i have a faster top speed. maby my exaust was clogged
you can hit 55 mph on a elite-s with a basic derestriction and 9 to 1 gears on level roads and no wind and if you weigh 160lbs. you can also change the rear clutch pulley to a dio, shave the high spots on the case to clear the belt and gain more top end, i have a used set of gears for $15 plus shipping. BTW make sure you do it all at the same time or you mess up the engine.

and no i found what it was. i had some of the shaviengs fron when i tok the restrictor out in my exaust.... so madddog were do i get this pully where do i send money to for the gears?

you either have the stock dio trans which is in every dio motor or the zx trans. the s stock trans is not different from a dio trans. They are the same. it's the ZX trans that is different.
BTW happy and dave toba who is the 1/8 record holder in hawaii besides many a kickarse peds in hawaii does not believe in the zx trans either. He does not use it in his peds.
