Do you need help with an elite 80cc 4 stroke, elite 250 4 stroke, or a honda spree 2 stroke?

There is a difference between the early Elite 80 and the later ones.
The intake manifolds are slightly different.
This changes things a little.
I found that rear wheel removal was the best/easiest way to access the inner carburetor nut.
Remove muffler, remove rear wheel, remove carburetor.
Otherwise, takes patience and the right wrench...

Remove 2 8 mm bolts on the opposite side of the intake.

Mikes method works too. It's not too hard for sure.

It's been a few years since I did this,
so I'm a little uncertain about whether it was the manifold bolts or
the carb flange nuts that were the biggest hassle.

Thanks guys it's a 2003 and you can't see the carb or intake bolts on the inside such a pain I don't know why honda would waist there time lol I'll have to give it a try in the am hope I can get it cleaned up only has 3000 miles on it great looking scooter it runs but starts hard and doesn't like to rev up it will do 45 but if you don't get it just right it bogs down

Put the center stand on a block of wood and remove the upper rear shock from the frame mount. The extra clearance when the engine hangs lower makes getting to the two inner nuts less of a hassle. I don't recall removing the exhaust and rear wheel, but it'll definitely free up some space.

Make sure your crankcase breather canister in drained as well. The drain hose is underneath the scooter near the center stand.

Crankcase vent tube is often neglected by previous owners.
Removal of shock bolt makes certain procedures easier, like shroud removal.
You be the judge and tell us what worked for you.
