87 elite service manual same as the 88?

Just wondering if the 87's are the same as the 88's? I havent been able to find one for the 87..someoen told me the 88's were the same? Anyone help a newbie out? Thanks in advance!!!

I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

88-93 manual is good for the motor

'87 Elite 50 (SE50) has a different motor then a '88 Elite E/ES 50 (SB50) but if the manual is for a '88-'93 Elite LX/SR (SA50) the engine is almost the same so it should work for the engine but as far as electrical and other things go it will be very close but not exactly the same, good thing honda doesn't change wiring color much if at all unlike these Chinese bikes nowdays.

Since I can't find the info in any manuals, What size is my gas tank? When near empty it will take .6 or so gallons.
