How much did you initially pay for your ELITE S?

Now in Michiagn your looking at $200 or so for a non runner with no plastic and $600-700 for a perfect stock 94-01 SA50. As you probably know, its about double that in HI. My spree was found parked next to a dumpster.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

i picked it up at a yard sale for $100

it would not start, i took it all apart to find out they ran it without a filter and a peice of grass got stuck in the reeds. It read 3000 miles. but the speedo cable was broke, so it could be more.

This is what its at now....

japan tail light, 8.44:1 gears, high speed pulley, 1000rpm center spring, drilled tail pipe, new cylinder, Other small things mixed in. But thats just for now, i have many more plains for it.

Wow DAC! Sick dealz right there. Dang, finding a $100 Elite S in Honolulu, Hawaii is like hitting the $19million Progressive jackpot at California Hotel. Yellow too! Good find bro.

TURN1, that looks just like my friend jakes bike, he paid $400 cash, then spent $100 on 9:1 gears and pulley.

I do recommend getting those two things, the take off is not that different and the top end will jump to 45-50mph.

yeah, i run the stock cylinder. Ill be going bore kit soon, but yeah, this works fine.

and yes, i just put 9:1 gears and a high speed pulley on my friends other wise stock bike and it still has great take off, and a top speed of 50mph with him on it. only like 47mph with my fat *. lol.

I paid $750 about two months ago. Probably $150-$200 too much, but it only had 1K miles on it and was in pretty much brand new condition.

I paid 400 cash for my 94 SR Elite, only has like 2300 miles on it. :) Runs great and looked sweet...black bike with purple wheels!...until 2 days ago when I let my wife ride it. :) She kick started it and ended up dumping it hard...lol :) I am going to paint it anyways...so no worries. :)

P.S. She (my wife) is ok too. LOL

Turn1 Clean A55 Elite

Post by 2WF »

Dang Turn1, that is the cleanest stock Elite I've ever seen. Looks like it came straight off the showroom floor.

BTW I only see Elite S mopeds around the internet. What is an SR? I've never seen one before. Again props for finding a new moped at that price. Rock on brother!

SR is the same as the S...only its unrestricted.

I think the S does 25 tops cause of the restricters, the SR does 35

And yes...you can Unrestrict the S...see the technical posts on how to do it. :)
