Scoot dilemma...help me choose

Post by vnice »

I now am expecting to pick up both a 98 Jog and an 85 Honda Pal. The Pal needs the choke or throttle fixed, and the Jog needs a new vacuum hose. The Pal is 200, the Jog is 300.

Now...Honestly, I can't really afford both of these. So...which one should I keep, and which one should I sell?

right now im going to say something that will make the honda world hate me...

Jog.

the pal is a cool bike, but its not that fast and parts are super super rare. there is no premade upgrades and the stock speed is less then impressive.
The jog is a racing machine, that is a good year for jogs too. Jogs are fast stock, and can be made real fast with some cash. Although jogs are not super common, parts can be found.

sorry honda, i have failed you...

Jog fo sho.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

I could flip the Pal. Buy it for 200, sell it for more. I'm not overly concerned with tons of speed, per se. I just don't want a scoot that I'll be constantly fixing. If the Jog is newer, perhaps it will give me less problems in the long run?
