Your the one here starting s*** for the most part....
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

Sonny boy, I quit drink long before your daddy could have a twinkle in his eye. I haven't been like you, needing alcohol to function for a long, long time. You little boy not only don't have big enough ones to spank me but don't have the know how. Two thing to remember;

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including his life."

and another topic locked, remember guys, Discussion not argument.

Now, Spree Vs. Elite...
let me kinda break it down for you...

Sprees - Spree motor - 84-87

87 Elites - SE50 motor- 87

Elite E -SB50 motor - 88-89
(SB50 motor is basically a spree motor)

Elite S/Sr- Read below - 88-93
89-93 elites have motor that are SA50's. but the SA50 motors that are Pre94 are really SE50 motor.

Elite S/Sr - SA50 motor (aka Dio) - 94-01

Spree- 84-87 - No mods available. Super slow and there is like no ways to make them fast. Even highly modded they are very slow.

SE50 - Now the SE50 is an OK motor, but its not the best. You can buy bore kits, you can buy pulley kits, and now people are finding ways to put gears in them. But the only reason people are modding the SE50 is because the Dio motor is so hard to find.

SA50 - The 94-01 SA50 bikes came with the same motor as the JDM brother "DIO". The DIO motor is every tuners dream. There is tons of parts available and they go realllllly fast. Every part you can take off the motor can be replaced with a performance ones.
Bore kits, carb kits, intakes, reeds, air filters, pulleys, clutchs, gears, crank shafts, exhaust, and tons more. They can be modded upto 125cc water cooled setups. These are the motors to have.
"Its not what you ride, its that you ride"
1996--------Honda Elite S-
1991--------Tomos Targa-
And a Bunch of other bikes.
