Everything I`ve read about the Helix says it`s a fine scooter, BUT the blasted thing is UGLY!!! I know looks ain`t everything, but I don`t think I could handle all that ugly for a daily rider.
From what I hear, the Helix is a bit faster than the Helix, and a much better feeling ride. Still ugly, though.

I've worked on one of these before. Really nice scooter. Not cheap. No one can make a suspension like vespa.
I would take it over a Morpheus or a reflex for sure.

What about the tmax?

I say go for it. Esp. since you found one of the '09's left over. New battery is cheap and of course the dealer will pay for that :)

Mine is an unfaired model, the earlier GS500E.

A lot of guys do that to them post-lowside. Rather than replace / repaint the crash-damaged plastics, they get a set of headlight horns, headlight, and front turn signals either aftermarket or from an original GS500E.

The later model GS's have better carbs (3 circuit vs 2), improved front brake (stiffer) and a slightly stiffer front spring. On mine, I've rejetted a touch richer, replaced the front springs with straight rate and a rear shock from a GSXR600, and a SS front line. I have an SV650 caliper waiting for me to get around to installing, though the new line and clean out of MC really helped front braking.

Okay Dan...both bikes have an "X" in them, but no excuse for sloppy posting... :bowrofl:
I think you mean the Helix is faster. Ugly is true about Helix, but I have always been attracted to vehicles that have a homely look, like Crosley, Studebaker, Rambler, to name a few... :hi: ...Edsel, Henry-J, Anglia, Willys, you get the idea.

Hey, I built Ramblers at the AMC plants, both Lakefront and Main, in Kenosha! Well, mostly Concords, Spirits and Eagles.
But I've owned quite a few!

...I've been close several times to owning...last time was a Rambler SC (Scrambler) with "The Machine" package. A little impractical in the ex-wife's opinion.... :bowrofl:
Lifelong desire for a Metropolitan...that ain't gonna happen...

Thanks for picking up my slack, Mike. I`ve been prone to brain farts here lately. :nervous:

Had an uncle that owned a Nash Metropolitan. I really didn`t consider them ugly, just different.

Greetings:

Congratulations on PCX Purchase, Cubic One. Best Honda design in a long time.

I'd be grateful to read your performance reports if you'd be so kind as to post 'em up.
Paticularly if you could git yer Garmin's take on Top Speed, and how she rides thereat.
(Break-in on 4-syrokes being not so much an issue as Folklore wold have us believe.)
Also gas mileage/range.

Planning as I suspect...?

Dude! Swap in a Dio!!

My two cents worth.... have you considered a used Kymco Bet&Win 250? It's basically a 150 sized 250 weighing a little over 300 lbs. Finding a nice used one could be a little difficult, however.

Rode 60 miles into work today.

I weigh 285#s

The PCX did fairly well on the straights. Seems to top out about 70mph.

Uphill it struggled a bit when they were long, short hills did OK. Seemed to only hit about 50mph. I did notice that ninja tuck helped a bit increasing acceleration and speed.

Overall I'm very happy with it. I don't feel safe riding it on the freeways with speed limits of 65mph here in CA, but I did find other routes that made the PCX and myself happy.

The ride feels nice on the 14" wheels. Very smooth and overall impressed with Honda Thailand manufacturing. It feels nice and tight.

MPGs are right around 100.

MSRP is $3449.
