Hi,

I wanted to share a site I used to score some parts for my 84 Gyro. Buyee.jp is a Japanese auction site I had not heard of before a few weeks ago. I've always wanted the integrated turn signals the Japanese market models (Honda Just TB09) had and I'm happy to report I found them! I also found the glovebox I knew existed! I'll get these installed soon and share some pics, but for now I wanted to spread the word.

The parts totaled about $80 and shipping was another $80, but the parts arrived from Japan in 4 days. Pricey for sure but it'll make me happy and save my car from more turn signal scrapes.

I'm happy to answer any questions about my experience - just let me know.

I just ran into this listing on Craigslist in the San Francisco Bay Area. It looks very good.

Japanese market front turn signals installed on my 84 Gyro - perfect fit! The signals came from an 83 Honda Just (TB09), which I got from the site buyee.jp. I'll post pics of the rear combination light and glovebox once installed.

I finally got the rear signals installed along with the glovebox. The glovebox originally arrived in a very sad faded white, so for now it's painted black until I can find a good match to the red Gyro. I found these parts on buyee.jp searching for the Japanese market Honda Just or TB09 - fun stuff! One interesting note: adding the JDM rear signals has shortened the Gyro's tail a bit. The two little panels that were connected to the original taillight are not used.

Your NN50 sure looks sharp wearing JDM parts :hi:

-- TG50 folks
There's a mint 86 TG50 on eBay, BIN is $3350 and pics show 41 miles upon it. Looks good in pics - yet I'd guess no one hits the BIN...but then ya never know. Put a watch on it (or make an offer) and have fun!

I'm a watcher only on this and have no association with the seller.

Thank you! all is working perfectly and the wiring wasn't too much trouble. Was it worth about $200 - I think so :)

Btw, I saw this one about a month ago originally posted for $5000. Then price dropped to $4500. Pretty sweet, but wow!

I'm a happy rider today. I found a decent red (Krylon Banner Red) for the glovebox and painted it to match as best as I could get it. It looks way better than the condition it arrived in and It holds a bunch of small stuff. Curious Honda decided to omit it from the US market model. Spree front reflector bases provide the perfect angle for mounting the reflectors to the glovebox.

Thank you 66Six! The pic below is how I received it, except the mirrors were busted and the engine cover had completely broken off in transit from Wisconsin. I had serious buyer's remorse on day one. While rough around the edges, mechanically it had no issues. Since then I've managed to rack up over 1200 miles just riding around the neighborhood, running errands, etc. It's been such a blast to ride; It's not fast and it's sized for a child, but man is it fun!

In middle school I had a friend who had a Gyro and I liked it better than my Spree. Since then I've wanted one, but it wasn't until 2001 that I started my search. The internet wasn't what it is today, so aside from batteries and brake shoes meant to fit a Gyro I had no luck. I did come across a brochure on eBay and snatched it right up though. Enjoy!
