Bashing?? i've wanted to build one for a while, though i'd make the rear sit a bit lower. Very nice, both to bob's monstrosity and and to your flat black elite. I've always loved a flat black honda, be it car or scooter.

I am not 100% sure yet. The paint has quite a few bad spots from the previous owner. It has been laid down before.

This is the only picture I have so far. I picked this 85 up a while ago but have not had much opportunity to take it out yet. As far as I know it's all original. I have always wanted one of these since 1995 when my friend let me ride his for a while. I finally have my own now and also have a lot to learn about it. Btw, this was taken right after I bought it and I wanted to smile really big but I had just been to the dentist and my stupid mouth was still numb. :-( But I do so love my Spree! =D

I got this from an elderly gentleman in Sun City here in AZ for 400 which I felt bad spending at the time, but it's in such nice shape as far as I can tell, I had to have it. It runs well but I can't get it past 25 mph. I replaced the battery recently but that's it. I love it. :-P I wish I lived somewhere more bike friendly so I could ride it everywhere!

What' the VIN #, it might be an Iowa model and that is all they will do. You can fix theIowa by removing the restrictions though and make it run close to 30 mph stock, or you can mod it and reach about 40 mph.

One guy has even done it with a stock 49 CC engine with porting, gears, tires and a pulley mod. But he admits to it being extra toadie off the line.

But it is a bunch easier to install a 48 mm Big Bore and Gears Kit from Tazland001 here on the forum, along with a pulley mod and bigger tires. When he finally produces a variator for the Spree then we Spree riders will have the best of both worlds. Small compact scooter with good acceleration and top speed.

Stupidity. I didn't have the front pully tourqued on well enough, and the outer pully half chewed the splines completly off the crank. I had to put case bearings in anyways, so it's not like the crank didn't have to come out already. It'll be back with improvements. It's just unfortunate it had to happen while the weather was so nice, and that it had to happen while I was miles out with no cell phone in the middle of the night. It was a long push...
