Picture of your helmet
Here's my helmet, dad bought it for my birthday at wal-mart LOL.
It work's good, has vents, fits and feels good. I want to get some tint or something and tint it black. Cause it'd look cooler, and be better when it's sunnier

I wish they had this one:

Re: Picture of your helmet
There's no helmet law in Alaska so I used to never wear one. That is until I saw the Video link on this forum of a scooter and car colliding in an intersection. The rider flew at least 10 feet above the car. Watch it. I very rarely ride without now.

I don't know as much about scooters as most of you here, but I know a lot about head injuries. You head is on the list of things we can't fix too well.
A ding on the head could leave you stuck with an ugly guy like me changing your diaper and helping you hold your fork. Then you'll spend the rest of your life living with your parents.
In the army we called helmets "brain buckets."
So, for what it's worth, my vote is for a helmet.

can't afford a "real" helmet. so i use my old full-face helmet from my BMX days, minus the visor, and red duct tape over the "x-games" logos.
better than nothing

Hey, be satisfied with what Pop bought you.
I seldom wear, but when I do, I wear a DOT 1/2 helmet, legal for cycles. It is required on my Helix, but not the 50 in Missouri.
My wife wears a bicycle helmet.
We both need a face shield, to keep eyes from drying out and in cold weather.

Egads, if that doesn't scare you, nothing will. You've convinced me.jguy wrote:A ding on the head could leave you stuck with an ugly guy like me changing your diaper and helping you hold your fork.
I heard the helmet was to preserve the donor parts. Is that true?

nah thats those crash jackets those guys wear w/o wearing a helmetLunytune wrote:I heard the helmet was to preserve the donor parts. Is that true?
that just makes no sence to me
my neighbor gave me s*** for wearing shorts while i ride, talking about how much it could save my legs....meanwhile he rides off in full leathers w/o a helmet
i just told him that everything from my shoulders down is pretty much rebuildable (for the most part)
i worry alot less about broken limbs and skin graphs than i do about my wife needing to cash in a life insurance policy
my $.02
oh and to stay on topic ill try and find a pic of my Fulmer 3/4 helmet
Re: Picture of your helmet
My wife is always on to me about shorts too. Kinda makes sense, and besides the wind can get chilly on my lack of circulation legs.SpyderMike wrote:my neighbor gave me s*** for wearing shorts while i ride, talking about how much it could save my legs....

Shorts and other clothing is "somewhat" on topic. The whole of it all is to protect the bod... So maybe I should post a picture of my pretty legs to go with a pretty helmet. Any requests for that? NOT!
