while the US rejoiced at the 1994 introduction of the venerated AF16E (so-called "Dio") powerplant, (2 model years after Canada got it!) the rest of the world was getting the elusive Honda-zontal Dio engine.

Evidently Europe demanded the next generation and Honda figured we were too dumb to know the difference. The joke's on them because despite the fact that it's a later generation, Hi-Po parts for the Horizontal seem to be pretty rare nowadays, at least here.
