It took a month or so (stupid NY) but I have finnaly made my spree street leagal (officially). Got it registered&insured (YAY), only took about 2 hours at the DMV.

ok heres a question.. i found an abandoned spree.. i have the licence plate that was left on it.. what should i do?

You can ride it if the plates have a current sticker on it and they are not expired. As far as getting new plates or even a new sticker it wont happen unless you have a title for it. In Wisconsin the DMV will not issue plates without a valid clean title. I know it sucks but thats the way it is in Wisconsin.

No i didnt need a title... here in NY it is considered a Class B moped which is non-titled, and it is only reccomended that u get it inspected yearly. All i needed to do was get me permit, get it insured, then register it.

i live in babylon ny and i am 15 yrs old i would like to get it on the street i was afraid i couldnt beacuse i dont have i title

u gotta at least have ur permit, and then u gotta get it insured THEN registered...not the other way around.

u might not need a title, but if u found the spree, or even bought it and its stolen, u are responsible. i wouldnt hand out your vin if your not sure.

actually, u just need a bill of sale to proove that u own it...they have a form for it at the dmv.

In New York your DMV is different then here in Wisconsin. They will not accept a Bill of Sale. Our DMV is very picky and a pain in the a--
