Air Box/Jet Question

Post by Justinsane »

Hey all, ok. i was runnin my spree without a float needle for like an hour. so gas was pouring out of the carb.. but i was addicted to riding it. however, it was running very sluggishly... so i took the cap off the air box, and it ran great! a little doggy still with the low end... and it wasnt running very smoothly.. so here in lies my question

tomarrow ill be getting my float needle (thanks MySpree) and installing it... so will my spree run normally with the air box top back on? or will i have to leave it off to get my preferred results?

you were probably getting extra gas, and the open airbox lid was compensating for that. A possible ghetto performance boost, lol, but would definatley make it slugish since the mix isnt regulated properly.

I think you will need to put the cover back on once you get the float fixed.
