Having the worst time in my life trying to paint!!

Post by the496rocket »

1986 Honda Aero 50, I need to repaint all my plastic body covers gloss black, the factory colors, and no matter what I do, how much I prep and sand, and no matter what paint I try (even fusuin) the paint will not go on smooth. It goes on real bumpy, and your reflection is garbled. Other colors look great, but I cant get the gloss black to look good. Any suggestions? I dont know what to do anymore. Should I pitch the rattle cans and use an air gun? Any suggestions please??

Which temp should I use? are you talking about engine enamel high temp, up to 500 degrees? also will that flex or will it crack and flake over time?

ok i will try that tomorrow, should I clearcoat afterwards? if so, laquer or enamel clear, also does the paint have to cure first?
