different shocks for more clearance?

Post by drizzle »

trying to make my aero more off-road friendly ('cause i can't afford a proper dual sport )

anyone know of a beefier, slightly-taller rear shock i could use in place of the stock one without any major modification? i think i heard of a fellow member using a CB750 one at some point.

any advice/suggestions are appreciated.

Daywot and other vendors have shocks that will work on pretty much any honda scooter, I think stock is 260 or 270, so maybe check out his 300. I think limp at sleepyscooters has an adjustable one, let us know how it goes off the beaten path.

If you get a beefier or taller shock, you're going to probably run into issues with it hitting the stock airbox.
