Just wondering what people actually use their scooters for...

Personally, I bought mine to tinker with / restore. Gives me something to do outside.

The only thing I plan to do with it is to drive it to the gas station in my neighborhood to get beers and buzz around the block a little.

daily commuter to work, store, post office, errands, etc.

I bought my first scooter for commuting. I still use scoots for commuting but also for joy rides and errands.

i bought mine for something to tinker with now its become my main commuter to work its so dam cheap to run

Bought mine to commute errands cruise and tune...........sort of a functional hobby......

i bought my first moped when i was 15 and it was because i couldnt drive a car and i was getting sick of riding my bicycle. almost 5 years later i still ride my moped everyday. although i have a car now i still ride my aero because its way more fun than driving and its waaay less costly. and when you work on your own moped it becomes something you take pride in. what could be better than using something you more or less built to get around on and show off to the world.

Wind in my hair, sun on my face, bugs in my teeth...

Oh wait, no, I just use it as a fun daily commuter to work and so I can park right at the office instead of having a hike from the distant city parking lot.

Commute 28 miles one way 75 cents in gas what could be better?

I got my 85 for free from a friend who was moving to Seattle and didn't want to take it with him. It had been abused and was missing lots of parts. I nurtured it and restored it, then started using it to commute to work (4 miles, one way). I also came home for lunch every day, rode around the city on the weekends, errands and whatnot as well. End result is I've put about 2000 miles on this bike every year for the past 3 years.

Wow, lots of people commuting on them, thats pretty cool! There is no way I could do it. My commute is 21 miles of 70MPH rural highway and Texas Hill Country. One hill is about a mile long and 6% grade. Would be fun gowing down, but I would probably have to walk it up

i enjoy driving mine on nice days. The fuel saving is just a bonus. I take it to work and run errands when its nice out. Im an electrician and i put my toolbox and toolbelt on the back rack, kinda funny to see

I've put about 600 miles on my '01 in roughly 2 months. Joy riding, errands, college, etc... I take it everywhere.

i wanted a motorcycle but couldn't afford the insurance because i have an at fault accident on my record, i also got a good deal on one since then i ride my spree more than i drive my truck. its pretty fun to tinker with as well.

Nastalgia, tinkering, and hauling my sloppy azz to the pool

Bought my '85 Spree, used as a pit bike in late 1985. Had it ever since. Since 1994 when I stopped racing it makes the runs to the Post Office and local stop & rob in the nice weather.
