ch80 woes electric choke

Post by volf »

posting on web similar to my problem and was wondering if you could offer any work around to a no longer manufactured bystarter for my ch80 1985 elite scooter. The Honda service place said there is no work around and that Im dead in the water! Is there another carb i can replace w/ or something I can rig??
It runs great when warm but its an act of God to get it started.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thbbt on the Honda dealer. They still sell Elite 80's, d*** things don't look any different to me.

Check Ebay for a used carb/bystarter, or get a Dellorto carb with manual choke to replace it. Check vtcycles.com, tell them we sent you. Also post back with what you find out.

Cheers
