Moped stalling

Did anyone try bypassing the vacum gas supply thingy and just use a fuel petcock with a fuel shut-off and plug the vacum line?

Actually, yes, I have done that, and it works well. Just plug up the vacuum line and remember to shut off the valve when you're done(I always forget that). I found that a Honda express fuel valve or the like fits just right, so you might want to consider one of those to install...
