I'll never look at a Wikipedia article the same way again. The guy quotes a Wiki article as a source in his ad to prove the value of his product. If you go back to the Wiki article about Sprees and check the history you find that on May 19th less than two months ago the line "and is very valuable and collectable, reaching prices upwards of $10,000" was added to the vin# section of the article regarding this color combination by an anonymous contributor. That was the only change to the article and less than two months ago! Do ya think it's just a coincidence? I wonder?

The only truly rare one of these is the 1986 Special in the Iowa configuration. They made over 20,000 for the Special in 1986 alone. Only about 2,000 of the Iowa Special were made. Otherwise someone needs to correct Wiki. That's the trouble with Wikipedia, the morons are allowed to add their incorrect info and no one checks it for accuracy.

I would think if that spree is so valuable then members of this forum would be wanting to buy it for that price not dumping on it. Buddy didnt even take the time to wash the dirt off of the deck for the pic!! Ive seen better looking stock and unpainted and unrestored sprees all over this forum and that one looks kinda ok but not perfect shape. The dude is on crack!!!

d***! That wiki stuff makes you think twice...

This reminds of that Jack 'n the Box commercial with guy sitting at the food convention charging something like $10,000 to taste someone's burger. Jack asks him if he's had any takers and he says, "I only need one." Lol! Then at the end it shows him telling some guy who to make the check out to. :-P

You missed the important part, Disabled Veteran.

"A veteran - whether active duty, national guard or reserve, retired or discharged from any of these--is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it."
