Bad karma

Post by texasflyer »

Bought a petcock from martynkim and when it arrived it was wrong. His reply was: I didn't know what year I had. He said he would send the right one but I would be responsible for the postage, both ways. I sent him the title as proof and he slamed the door in my face. Bad vibes.

He has a tank from a different year (I am assuming) As the petcock is for an 86

I only slammed the door in his face as he says when he said

"I have attached the title and it is CLEARLY a 1986. I don't mind paying the postage to return the wrong item back to you, but unless you want me to seek legal remedy for mail fraud, I suggest you refrain from telling me what I have and make this right. Sound okay?

" Threatened me with mail fraud!!!

I tried to send another email explaining this, and to resolve the issue but, he feels he needs to tarnish my repuatation in the open. I have made several sales with forum members without a hitch. He feels that threats are the way to deal with people.

If I make a mistake I correct it. no issue. If someone has a fit problem due to mods from them or a PO I try to help. The door isn't shut, just change your tone with me.

Man thats a tough one. The purchaser should just send back the petcock and pay the $3 postage. When Marty receives the return issue him a refund. That way its only a $3 mistake both ways.

My 2 cents :imo:

I can surely vouch for Marty, he went above and beyond to try and find a cable to fit my Gyro.

I would work with Marty anytime.

Those terms would be acceptable as well. Although, I will take a step in the right direction. I will put the replacement petcock in the mail to him.

If he returns it and pays the postage fine, if not karma will get even.

Not to mention, everything ive ever bought has made it here in record breaking time considering its on the other side of the country. lol

No I can't get cables. I have some cables but, not for the 87 Elite exactly. Although, I might have something that may work.

i can fix this... i bought a petcock from marty a while back too... and i took fault for it being the wrong year. he said "this is for an '87" and i being a noob didnt realize there was a difference. he kept in touch thru the transaction and tred to make things right. he is one of the few ppl i fully trust on here.

so...if you need one for an '87, i'll trade you for your 86.
i'll pay shipping.
if you need one from an 85...ive got one, but it doesnt work.
