The Seattle Craigslist covers the whole Puget Sound area. As it turns out I know the guy as not only is he in Mason County, but he is in Union too. Less than five miles from my house. I'm goin over after dinner and look at it.

Well, the 125 came home with me. Since we know each other, he trusts me to pay him on Tuesday. He sent the thing home with me last night. At this rate I will be taking over wheelman's position as the operator of the home for wayward scooters.

Room is not the issue. I have a full basement under the house and 2 1/2 bay garage and shop at the foot of the property. Of course the 2 quads, 3 boats, half a dozen outboards, riding lawn mower, bicycles an other misc. stuff does take up some room but scooter fit in small places. Oh and my wife never looses patience with me, maybe her temper but never patience. But I AM retired and need things to do to keep me out of mischief.

Went and looked at the 125 last night and checked it out. Hasn't run since 2000 but was at least stored inside. The electric starter works (no kicker on the US models. What the * was Honda-san thinking?) good compression, and everything is there except one of the spoilers on the front plastic and the seat cover is trashed but new covers are available. I told him I wanted it but I wouldn't have funds until Monday the 2nd. We shook hands and he sent the thing home with me. So now I have another scooter to work on.

The only pics I have are now are from the ad. It needs a bath and then some more pics, that is if the sun appears this afternoon.

I had a feeling you wouldn't be able to resist.

A parts bike price AND with a title!

I'm sure that 2-stroke 125 would beat the pants off my 4-stroke 150 Elite :geekdance:

Thanks for pointing the 125 out. The title is a nice thing and saves the $75 inspection fee the state charges for 15 minutes work. Well, the only real work in getting on his hands and knees to read the number. It seems that all the speed parts I have acquired for the Aero 80 will also fit the 125 too. So I see 65 mph scooter in my future. It also appears that in Europe there is a kick starter available along with an instrument cluster with a tach. I'll probably have to have those too if I can find them. :eyeroll: I already found a service manual.

Nice buy Bear. I was looking yesterday and was tempted to drive over and get it.

Gyro is electric start only, I guess there really is no place to put a kicker.

It was Clivester who found it and aimed me at it. Image I am grateful too. All I need to do is drain and flush the fuel and oil systems, replace both brake cables (froze dog solid), clean the carb, get an new air filter and borrow one of the Aero 80's battery and this thing will be running. I will order the cables and filter tomorrow, pick up a new vacuum pump at Harbor Freight (dropped mine and broke it today :eyeroll: ) and pull and tear down the carb.
