Redoing the forum sections, need user input

The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

Redoing the forum sections, need user input

Post by noiseguy »

OK, the hondaspree.net board's been up about 1.5 yr, and so far the format's worked out well. Any suggestions on either new ways of breaking up the topics or new sections that should go in?

I've been thinking about breaking tech docs into two sections; one addressing stock fixes and another addressing hop ups. This would be just like the current "Tech Help" and "Perf Tech" are split up. I've posted several things in Perf Tech that I would like to see archived, rather than sitting in Perf Tech.

Thoughts?

i think the tech sections of the forum are fine the way theyre set up. but you just need more user input. i mean you have 768 registered users. and none of them actually use this forum. maybe someything to spice it up a little, you know?

Thanks for the input; keep it coming.

Getting photos hosted on the site has been a backburnered project for awhile (just ask Vette.) I will need to switch the site over to a different software system in order to get that setup, and I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to do the work necessary to make the switch. It's a major project, at least for me.

I've been trying to figure out a better way to serve those that are coming onto the board with Elite 50's. Problem is that I have no expertise with these, and there doesn't seem to be enough user support to split these off as a seperate entity/forum.

it has been my experiance that a just pics thread dosnt really work. unless its something you load to the site itself. most people will comment on the picture and that will lead to conversation or debate, or hating, or jocking... ect.

just throwing in my $0.02 :D
