sum-azn-kid, I am guessing you are referring to the stock stroke, longer conrod SEF crank

I paid $250 for mine, new. I have been told the copy and the OG are identical.

hope this helps, jon

sum-azn-kid,

-ask Bakaracer about what the differences between the OG and copy SEF is. He does not run one personally, but he knows alot about them; he is who helped me get my setup worked out.

Didn't they put mini stroke and stock stroke cranks on the sef copies? You just gotta measure em? Both fully counter weighted?

No the sef came in stock stroke standard con rod(80mm) and long con rod(85mm) then they had the 50,51mm stroke crank
Nothing like getting stroked!

I guess I'll be the first to say it, THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY SEF CRANKS PERIOD! SEF stopped making moped parts and now makes go-cart parts. The cranks being sold now are being peddled as SEF stuff but they aren't so you would be buying a knock off and I've seen a particular person sell "copies" of other products but that could be said about almost everything out of Taiwan.

Here is a little history on the cranks, SEF did make 2 stock stroke cranks, the SEF crank and the SEF II crank. The SEF II crank was a standard counter weight size but had a longer connecting rod and most people thought it was a mini-stroker crank, I've spent years telling people other wise but it didn't help another shop was telling people it was a mini-stroker when it wasn't (morons). The SEF II crank is supposed to give you better RPM as the angle created by the longer rod has less drag than a standard rod. Both cranks are fully counter-weighted but I preferred the standard SEF crank in about 3 of my motors. I really liked those cranks and also they are a copy of the Malossi crank.

Bottom line, if it is a new crank it is a fake and if it is a used crank don't waste $200 on it.

Good to know, me and my friend have all been talking about these cranks lately.

Malossi also has one right(the original?), is that available nowadays?
