Greetings,

Short notice:

Were Planning on heading to the True Grits this weekend in Suches Georgia.
Anyone here showing up with their NS50 ?
We managed to complete the run last year, it was cold and wet plus running out of gas
less than 1/2 mile from the finish. Third time was a charm
It was on my bucket list :2thumbs:
Supposed to be 40 % chance of rain so will see!
Just Look for dark blue NS50, green Kawasaki 90, and a blue Aprilia Rs50 and that will
be our group.
Stop by and say Hey.

Ronnie G

Yes... planning to be there.
Not real happy about forecast.
Rode last year too, wasn't very bad rain-wise.
Just for once I would really like it to be sunny and 70.
Couldn't get my RX50 Yamaha sorted in time...me thinks crank seals bad.
Look for me on my red Yamaha Jog Artistic Spec.

This ad went up a week ago, and is still up. I haven't had wi-fi in a week.. sorry for the delay. This one looks a bit pricey for the condition, and a "clear title" needs further investigation. Sometimes sellers say "clear title" when they don't have the title, but think or know that it hasn't been reported as stolen. My standard question would be "does it have a Florida title in your name?" I didn't ask, as the price is supposedly firm and out of my interest.

14 hours to go and the ebay ad has no bids yet.. the craigslist ad is still up too.. The repaints on both the sfbay and lakeworth examples really hurt their value IMHO. $600 each is a better price..

Heh! I joined the ns50 club! I picked up that one posted in the sfbay. We worked out a trade for my cg50 jog plus a little cash on my end. :geekdance:

Birdman,
Good work.. I wish I had one of those rare radiator shrouds.. I'm still looking for one and also the lower streamlining..
Here are the photos of yours for posterity..

I also see that you got the tachometer too.. it would be great if you could post a photo that shows how it is mounted.

I did not get the tach or the radiator shroud. That guy had two ns50f's and bought this bike just to take the shroud for his other ns. The tach he was going to give me is an nsr tach that was zip tied to the bar. He said I could have the tach but I forgot to take it. I'll see him again though.

Here she is as I got her home. It runs but like a pile. Dude said he rode it a few times and it was fine so I took his word and just went for a blast and it died on me a couple times, and rpms would hang when returning to idle. I found the air filter to be missing entirely, and the carb to box coupler wasn't installed properly. It was sealed against the carb and just flopping on the air box, not sealing. So I secured the air box box coupler and cut a filter out of uni green filter material. The spark plug was loose, but looks OK so I just tightened it up. Now it runs way better. Also the battery was missing so I installed one. Long way to go with this one...

Didn't get a chance to go on a descent ride since it's been raining like crazy but, it was in dire need of fresh rubber before blasting, so fresh Hutchinson gp1 2.75 x 17 tires got mounted front and rear. Rims were really rusty, so I wire wheeled the insides to clean the rust

Also cleaned up the exterior of the rims with wd40 and a scotch Brite pad and, they came out pretty nice.
