Seems like a great deal. Any info on it?

That is an Elite E. The newer version of the spree with a non-variated af05 engine. That is a steal if the seller is honest. My experience has showed that the seller usually has removed parts so that it cannot be tested before being bough and there is actually a crank problem or something. Inspect it well before buying.

what is the difference between this and the spree motor. you said it was non-variated? Are there any performance upgrades that can be done? Would like to see a consistent 40 mph, and can only get upper 30's on my spree with taz 44mm bbk and gears.

The intake and the exhaust pipe are a little better on the E than the spree. The upgrades are the same as the spree except you will need to machine down the gears because the E uses a ball bearing where the spree uses a bearing machined into the aluminum. When Taz's pipe comes out, I would imagine a solid 40 but we are limited in RPM with the current pipe. Are you running a pod filter on your spree now?

Buy it!

For $125 the whole engine could be junk and it would still be a good deal.

It's mine and as you see it is exactly as I bought it. it has good compression and no parts have been stripped. I bought it because I thought it was an 87 from what I was told without pictures. I got there ans saw it was an 88 and I just figured it was worth it anyway for the money.

I actually had it sold a few times over but I don't feel comfortable with kids and dopers coming over my home, Todd seemed like a good dude over the phone.

And the coil is here but shredded, in a box with the Carb, rear tail assembly and rack.

Talked to Kerry on phone last night for a while. He is a good dude, and I look forward to hopefuly going to see the bike tonite. If anything, it will be a great ride for my wife to enjoy and ride while I ride my spree. Will be nice to be doing local business with a fellow honda spree board member. Also someone to ride with when the ice comes off the road.

It will most likely out-perform your spree.

I have an E engine on my spree.

His spree already has a BBK and gears though.
