Very nice piece of nostalgia, there Andrew. One thing though: If it carries a '73 title, it HAS to run turn signals to be truly "steet legal". The change occurred in 1972. I was a highly ILL-legal rider back then, but only 1 no-license ticket.

Is the Lifan 90 the biggest that'll fit?

Thank you :) regarding the turn signals it is a early model 1973 and never had them all of the sl 70's did not have signals the xl 70 on the other hand dose have signals i have bought a 6 volt turn signal kit for it that i will be putting on.

Also forgot to add a 90cc is not the biggest you can put in it and kicking my self for not putting a 140cc in it :(

Painted my basket red so it isn't as noticeable, I mean come on not much cool factor in baskets on scooters :lol:

They are very functional though :naughty:
