but the petcock is leaking slightly, like a drip every hour. I took it apart and noticed there is no o-ring. I think there is suppose to be one

I have the same hose on my 1995 honda elite ch80. Anyone know why lot of gas is coming out of it?

If you mean the short hose bent at a 90 degree angle, then the reason gas is coming out is because the float level is too high.
Might also mean the petcock is not shutting the fuel off when engine is off. Either way, there is too much gas in the bowl... :urban:
