CT Intake with 16 mm carb for my Spree

Post by Bear45-70 »

CT intake with Spree adapter and a 16 mm carb from a Lead 80 (has an electric bystarter) for my Spree. Will have an 18 mm set up for my Aero 50.

Nice work Bear. Does that carb have an adjustable main and pilot jet?

Did you ever bore the aero50 cylinder to the 44mm? Sure would be a nice combo with that carb. :naughty:

Actually I have a 43 mm piston and jug sitting here to go on the Aero 50, as it now has 70 PSI compression. However for the Aero 50, I have an adapter to adapt a Keihin 18 mm carb off of an Aero 125 on to a CT to go on the Aero 50.

I also have the 43 mm piston and jug for the Spree but since it is a healthy as the day it left the factory, so until it breaks, it stays stock.

I really wish trolls would at least learn basic punctuation. It's hard to call someone names when you cannot even use language effectively...

Very nice on the adapter! You're making me want to dig out my nq50 engine and finally put a crank in it...

Can we please have a thread without any smart a s s comments???? :b2t:

And yes it is a nice adapter. I wish bear would get this on the bike and test it and give us the results.

Also Bear get that 44mm in that aero50. I am sure you know someone who can bore it for you.

or you can keep the stock intake and get a polini 12mm to 19mm intake adapter with a 19mm polini carb.

Why? When I have an 18 mm Keihin off an Aero 125 (several in fact) or a 22 mm Keihin or if I really want big a 26 mm Keihin, not counting the OKO carbs I have BUT I don't like big carbs on street engines as the play * with off the line performance and are a b**** to tune. That is why I choose the 16 mm carb, enough bigger to give the Spree some legs with the Taz gears I have in the box with the carb setup.

Oh and to keep the stock Spree reeds and use a bigger carb would be a waste of time and money because the reeds would restrict the air flow and make the carb null and void.
