spremadness's ride is geared too tall for me, but still whizzed me 220lbs down the track in 10.2 seconds.

The only reason we mention the weight of the saftey gear is that it is a full leather race suit.

shaving a half a second off an 8.7.........that will be very hard to do.

Well when he said it will be in the low 8's soon... well that caught my eye :surprise:

Ok that gives me some perspective... geared right for your weight probably... what 10 flat or 9.9? So a 200lb guy could prob turn a 9.7 - 9.6... pretty fast.
Scooters are sooo weight sensitive its hard to compare times

Spreemadness520 is under the minimum weight for the 400 class rules.

Rider weight and scooter weight columns should be added.

Penalty points should be ADDed to your time.

example: 400 class weight min=300 lbs and your total weight is 275, you would add .25 seconds to the ET for being 25 lbs under.

What do you guys think of that?

I'm up for that and requested input from you racers in a pm...

This is easier to accomplish before a table is created, but will add if input is provided.

-- email to racers --
I am working on a table for drag times/classes per the drag racing classes parameters kryptonite's thread captured. Judging from discussions rider and scooter weight + column for NOS might be good too.

Would you racers please review the table for accuracy and other fields desired before this is posted publicly?

Thank you,

Kyrptonite wants the penalty to be more than .1 sec for ten pounds.

He wanted .15

I said that sounded unresonable

we agreed the .125 penalty added for every 10 lbs would be a good compromise.

When a time BONUS for more robust drivers was brought up (subtract .05 seconds from the ET for every 10lbs over) he quickly dismissed the idea.

The whole point is to see who can tune the best.

with out these rules in place , it just become who can build the lightest scooter and find the smallest jockey.

I think it should be .125 added to your ET for every 10lbs under 300
And also should be .075 subtracted from your ET for every 10 lbs over 300

As for NOS.... I dont think you can do anything with it except list it all by its self as there are way too many variables

We agree now that this will be added to the new rules.

To help compare times A new column, Ajusted Elapsed Time (AET) will be added to the leader board.

.0125 seconds will be added for every pound under the weight minimum

.0075 seconds will be subtracted for every pound over the weight minumum

New columns are added, and combined weights are by default 'perfect'.
Racers, get out the scales and post/pm your combined weight. That will set the ETA column into play.

Thanks for the time, and first combined weight. It's near perfect - your scooter only needs to loose 10lbs.

Overall times are updated with 'Jamz, and tru72's new times. Congrat's on continual improvements :thumbwink:
