Has anyone tried a Ballistic Scooter Battery ?
Found them when I was searching for a battery that would fit in the battery box of my Elite 50SR

I use an 8 cell LiFePO4 Motorcycle Battery in the race bike & it has performed flawlessly for a couple of years

Was wondering if anyone here has tried a small 4 cell LiFePO4 in their scooter & how it worked for you...

Cost is about the same as a standard gel cell scooter battery

It only weighs 1/2 a pound vs about 3 pounds for a gel cell
Ballistic:
Dimensions (Standard): 2" (L) x 2" (W) x 3.25" (H)

VS.

Yuasa:
Length 4.50 inch / 11.43 cm, Width 2.81 inch / 7.14 cm, Height 3.38 inch / 8.59 cm

I have one for my drag scooter... very light weight.
But I dont use it to crank my motor over only to power my water pump and nitrous solenoids and fuel pump.
I have read and heard good things about them.

I haven't used it yet, but I have been seriously considering it, especially since I wanted to run two batteries.
One for the regular running of my system's accessories and another just for my security alarm system.
This won't happen just yet because I need to buy a few more things that I need for my scoot (my rear shock is dead, I need to repaint my panels, etc). I've read of people buying it to replace their batteries and they've been happy about the decision.

The CCAs are high enough to crank the engine.

Thanks for the link, this looks like a good alternative.

Did you ever install this battery and did it work? My yuasa battery hates my H.I.D!

Had mine in for a couple on months now.
At 1st I thought it was too weak but after a few uses it is working just fine now
I am having idle issues & scoot won't stay running until after it warms up
After many, many repeated starts is still working but I can tell it's getting a little tired
(traced my cold idle problem to a old dirty clogged air filter)

So.... for the same price was a Yausa it works just as well IMHO

I would NOT use this in a big bore scooter tho - just not strong enough of a battery to electric start
Works great on my 49cc stock elite

And it's light as a feather
Used the foam that it came packed in as a spacer to take up all the extra space of a lead acid battery
It is securely mounted even if it is a bit tall
Only took very minor modification to battery box to use stock cables

HMMMM....I thought it would be because it has more amps than a yuasa.

Have you had to charge it yet?
