LED street glow 85 spree

Post by asakite91 »

I just put in a street glow strip on my spree. I got all the parts I needed on Ebay for under $10.

Having led or any other kind of lights on while driving here can get you a ticket. At least you did what I did and added a switch. I use the switch on the ground side to avoid having power going through the switch and avoiding a risk of a fuse blowing. I hope you used a fuse in line.

A poor pic due to downsizing it to fit.

I like the sprees body style more than the elites, you should get 2 more strands and put them inside the front wheel well and the rear like mine and itll give it a halo all around. Nice spree btw!

Current flows through the switch no matter what side of the circuit you put it on.

You can ground out or " short" it and it won't matter if its a ground fed switch lol. Try that with a positive fed.

If youre hooking up extra things off of the battery save yourself some real problems and use a separate fuse, dont be cheap and screw up your regulator when your wiring grounds out.
Fuse holder -7.99 and readily available at wally worlds universal
regulator - 24.99 used and weeks or at least days to get the replacement.
Use your brain and put a fuse in line with any extra crap.
