the jog

Post by TikiMan »

Has anyone ever played with a yamaha jog or have a time riding one. is it worth building up. I know of a zuma that can do 60plus but how fast does everyone think a jog could go

70cc jog will smoke a 70cc dio with the same parts. Just cost a little more to build. Dont forget the vari crank bolt comes offf the opposite way

Yes, the Jog is worth building up. The Jog (92-01) is basically the same engine as the bug-eyed Zuma. Less weight and a lower COG mean more fun on the Jog.

Do you have your build on here for that aero? I have few and would like to see how to make them fast. I was looking at the nicklesil kit from daywot.

The bug eyed zuma is vertical I think until 2002 and up.

02 is first year for the horizontal zuma and also the bug eye version, the 92-01 jog is the same engine. 08 on up have cat converters on the exhaust, throttle cam limited, and air reintroduction. Zuma was vertical 01< I bought an 05 and 08 before I left for vacation and can't wait to mod them.

I would look up pricing, the horizontal mina definitely is not anymore to build than a comparable built af16. When I return I'm building 2 horizontal Mina's, 2 hi per 2 piaggios, and 3 af16/18. So far I've spent most on a full stroker evo kit for the piaggio, but that was because its the best parts out there. Ive been warned to not use cheap Taiwan kits on the Mina's unless I want to spend hours of porting.

I would not advise people to try to tighten the vario nut unless you want them to strip it. That's bad advice. It's most definitely counter clockwise to remove.

Here's my 90cc 1e50qmf swapped onto a jog clone, it's a direct bolt on swap minus the brake cable.

The "bug-eye" reference addresses a specific body of zumas, the 2002-2011 zuma 50. The vertical zumas were a different body, often referred to as pre-bug zumas.
