aero 80 streamliner

Post by bakaracer »

This was at the vintage bike show yesterday in tacoma at the lemay car museum. Its a aero 80 frame and motor with this custom streamliner body over it. The body only weighs 40 lbs. Motor is stock and gets up to 52mph with the body on due to the aerodynamics.

Too bad,.. this link isn't current enough to have any mention of "DecoPod" anywhere I can find...
Was a very interesting link, to be sure... :thumbwink: ,..thankz bakaracer
If it's in production, I should be able to find something with continued search.
This could obviously be fitted to most any scoot and my Elite 80 has become quite redundant lately... :!: .. .. :geekdance:
Just so happens, I have a friend who works for Lane Motor Museum and operates his own shop
in the field of "custom metalcraft". ...do you smell what I'm cooking ?

The guy who builds them tells you they are not for the road and you will end in certain pain and possible death. He's an interesting designer for sure. The decoliner is awesome and actually safely useable. I'm surprised he was promoting driving the pod. He's been doing them for a few years and always tells people to not drive them on the street.

hi forum. I think it looks really cool. I have seen these on Jay Leno garage on YouTube.I'm not sure if they're practical for daily driving. what was the price $6,000 plus the scooter? they do look cool.
Life's a trip enjoy the ride.
