My Spree Now Has Tunes!

Post by 87spree70superbee »

So... instead of boring you with a million words about what I did, here's a two-and-a-half minute YouTube video. Tell me what you think.

Black 85 Spree-SOLD

Red 87 Spree... Ended up buying the same one mentioned below.

I started riding my uncle's 87 Spree at the drag strip when I was 8...

It's easier to stop caring three years ago than it is to fix it in present time.

I think its pretty cool, as long as you remember to turn the key off when ever the engine isn't running, but I'm sure you already realize that ;-) . Its gonna look super sweet with grills and painted :-)

Lol, yup. Suprisingly, it doesn't draw as much power as I thought it would. It was playing for at least a good hour yesterday while I took off my muffler and put 2 coats of hi-temp paint on it, and it still started when I put everything back together. Granted I did remove the brake light bulb, but I want to try to find an LED brake light bulb that will work in there. They don't draw much power either. :-)

I've thought long and hard about the led as well they aren't expensive and would make sense. Yeah those little amps for computer speakers don't draw much, you can take a dig multimeter and see what amperage it really does draw, prob no more than 300 miliamps, I'm betting 100milliamps.

Go to deal extreme you can get all kinds of little amps that are bare circuit boards for really cheap. Actually now that I think of it there are small special amps made just for what you guys want that have an input and USB and SD card slots on them for mp3 and they have remotes. And they are cheap let me go look and I'll post the links.

Here is the first thing I found
http://dx.com/p/60w-stereo-audio-amplif ... -red-91350 it could be teamed up with a cheap Bluetooth receiver for use with your phone with out cables. Or this if it would fit, http://dx.com/p/160w-hi-fi-stereo-ampli ... -12v-91314. Or http://dx.com/p/y148-audio-amplifier-module-93121 I'm going on the hunt for more stuff I'll post as I find stuff. Edit, you could team this with the circuit board amp http://dx.com/p/y148-audio-amplifier-module-93121
