Hi, Im new to this forum and the scooter world. I recently purchased this scooter off the internet which I believe to be a 1984 Aero 50 (happy to be told otherwise). I bought it as is and not running properly. After spending a couple of hours troubleshooting, I read to check the exhaust port for clogging. A mate ad I removed the exhaust to check the port, he had his phone in using the light and camera to see better. I pushed the kickstart slowly with my hand, it fired up by itself and ran fine. gave us both a * of a fright.
I plan on restoring it a bit as it has been sitting for a while. Id also like to get a bit more performance out of it as everyone in my area speeds everywhere and I want to keep up. I plan on making or buying some sort of pipe, and putting a free flowing air filter on. My main question is, will I need to up-jet it at all?
Also where are parts available for these? everywhere Ive looked doesn't stock exhausts or such for these scooters.
Quite excited to start working on it in the next few weeks, and will hopefully post a build thread.
