Stolen 87 Spree

Post by 87spree70superbee »

My uncle's 87 Spree got stolen from his shed the other day. The police are involved, but being such a small vehicle, chance are that it's not going to be recovered. It's the same scooter from my signature that I learned to ride on, so that kind of * me off. Here are some details.

Red plastics with white decals, white basket in the front, broken turn signal lenses, around 9k miles, black rims. Missing horn cover, and about a 1" hole in the top of the seat cover.

It was kind of his beater bike, but it has a little sentimental value to me. I'd like to see him get it back, especially because he didn't drive it on the street and had no insurance on it. If you see something that looks like this, please notify me. If it's an internet listing, please send a link.

Thanks
Nick

Red 87 Spree... Ended up buying the same one mentioned below.

I started riding my uncle's 87 Spree at the drag strip when I was 8...

It's easier to stop caring three years ago than it is to fix it in present time.

UPDATE:

The bike was recovered. The police got a warrant to search some guy's house, and there were about 12 motorcycles/scooters there, all stolen. So basically this guy was running a chop shop out of his own house. The level of stupidity of some of these crooks is incredible.

Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled, guys. Much appreciated.

That's awesome! Usually doesn't turn out that way, specially so quickly. Hopefully they didn't trash it. Congrats on the recovery!

I've been on the receiving end as well and it's no fun. Glad to hear it was recovered.
