Another silver NH80

Post by breaze »

Wasn't looking but came across another silver NH80. I have an 83 and this one is an 84. Paid $400.00 - was running although slightly rough. Only about 1700 miles - still has tool kit and manual. Fuel tank was clean as a whistle.

All I did was clean the carb, new fuel, air, and oil lines, new filter elements for carb and choke air filters, new tires, and painted rims which were slightly rusty. Belt and rollers were fine (cleaned out grease). Runs like new. Not sure why I need 2 silver ones - anyone got a red one they want to trade...

Forgot to mention - it is missing the small panel under the seat on the left that holds the seat latch lock. I had just found this piece on ebay overseas for my 83 - must be pretty common to have missing:

I have owned a couple of those Aero 80s and was kind of disappointed by the performance.

An 80cc 2 stroke should be good for like 60mph.

They don't rev very high so I am thinking the engines should last forever. Maybe that was the point.

Yes, the '83-84 are just about bullitt proof.

Hi all,
I've already sold it. Got 675.00 which I thought was fair. Interesting though, saw it the next day on CL being sold by the guy who bought it from me for $1000.00. I've been watching it - he now has it down to $900.00.

Seems a bit steep to me but that is his deal now.

MM, give me a little time to heal up and we might do something on my other one. I want to look at my 85 which I just got hit on and see if I can bring it back first.
