Elite 80 Front turn signals

Post by motormike »

On each front corner of Elite 80, just above the front bumper,
is a turn-signal housing hiding behind a black lens.
I've never seen an Asian, European, or Aussie Elite 80,
but I suspect that somewhere in the world, these turn-signals were actually functioning lights with amber lenses.
The USA models are non-functioning signals, missing the lighting sockets, and
covered with black lenses.
Even the inside of the black lenses is molded in the same fashion one would expect to see amber lenses...
there are "facets" inside designed to disperse and magnify the light.
I find this mystery annoying, and wish to hear from members around the world who have knowledge of these
Elite 80 models which have the turn-signals located at this bumper-height location.
More to the point, great numbers of Elite 80's here in USA have damaged corners, and those black lenses are broken.
I would like to have AMBER LENSES from those overseas models.....DO THEY EXIST ???
The image below shows these black lenses on either side of the grille... :urban:

Honda spacy 80 I believe
I can't seem to find the turn lens' new online. If anyone does know of a place to purchase these please share!! I've been thinking about this swap for a while. I love the clean look of the headlight surround panel with no turns.

Hmmm. This is interesting as well. Can anyone translate? I wonder if it's a larger bore and compatable with US engines..

For some reason the link won't work. I found it by searching for "honda spacy ch80" and in the images section I clicked on the picture of a bore kit.

^^CLICK this link from google images for SPACY
Thank you Kevinstonge for your help... :thumbwink: ... :urban:
Very interesting that Spacy is 50cc and has 3-speed auto/centrifugal clutch transmission.
Those are definitely the lenses we need to modify our Elite 80's
Bonus would be the head plastic without turns...cool...
Yes, the rear is also flush...double cool... ...

in Japan ,these're 2 model of spacy like this, the fisrt that you talked about is honda spacy 50, the second is honda spacy 80 which has the same body like honda elite 80, i think elite 80 is the version in the US of this bike. Spacy 50 and spacy 80 have a different engine, the part you need belongs to spacy 50 :lock: let's talk about spacy 50, kymco in Taiwan also made this bike but it had 100cc, maybe you can find this part on Taiwan web, i just found this part on Japan web:
