Honda Spree petcock cover, revisited.

The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

Honda Spree petcock cover, revisited.

Post by fairlead »

Can anyone tell me if the gentleman who was reproducing petcock covers is still offering them? Been out of the loop for a year or so, but putting the finishing touches on an 85 right now. Will post pictures shortly! Thanks. (couldn't find them on ebay)

The member Fishman43 who offered those at one time has not responded to any requests since 2013.
He reported some problems with his tooling, then left.
I'd say he abandoned that enterprise...

It seems to me this article of missing Spreedom would be a perfect candidate for a 3D printer reproduction? No?

No, You have done well to mention the subject under General Discussion.
I agree the petcock cover is ideal for a 3-d printer project.
I have a young friend who has crafted other items in the moped world, such as gears... :urban:

If I can get dimension and what not digitally my friend and his dad both have 3d printers and are looking for projects.

What happened to the guys who were reproducing the petcock covers ?
I have purchased several back when I had Spree's, I no longer have any Spree's and don't need any covers, but it would be nice for others to have the option of buying new ones.
I hope someone will track down the previous sources and bribe them to restart the petcock cover business.
