elite 50 fuel line dimensions?

Bought new fuel line, 1/8 of an inch. It "fit" but it was a bit of a fight to get it on the carb. Just looked up the actual size its suppose to have and from what I found its 3/16.
Am I going to be okay with 1/8 or will it hinder my performance? Also was going to use the same fuel line for the air hose too, is that okay? Thanks a lot!
