The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

Forum for larger elites

Post by Cubey »

Hey guys. I sold my Spree a couple years ago but I'm still around the scooter scene. I bought myself an Elite 250 a few days ago and as typical, I started a forum for it and other Elites (80-250) since there weren't really any around besides a Yahoo group.

However, I'm not trying to take away ANY traffic from this board. In fact, the "board" I put for Elite 50 actually just sends the user to this forum's front page. I figured I might be forgiven for "spamming" my forum here since it doesn't contain any Elite 50 discussions, but it is about scooters. I drive the Elite 50 owner traffic over here.

Greetings:

I certainly welcome any kind of scooter enthusiasm to this Forum. Motorscooter Guide is a nice site, but the traffic is sparse. Yahoo Reflex group is a message board, emails pretty frequently, but content is limited and it's hard to look up Tips. Nothing like WikiSpreedia out there either.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

I'm still working on it slowly, tweaking settings, adding extra boards, scooter avatars to pick from, etc.

Great news for Elite owners...welcome here too.
Helix would be a logical inclusion on your board as well... :imo:

No. There is a very active, well established Helix forum. I refer helix owners to it in the same way I do Elite 50 owners to here. It looks like a board but it sends them to the other site.

I use the Yahoo group and the files section there has a lot of very useful technical data.

The Yahoo group kind of stinks. It took 3 or 4 days for my post to show up. Plus I'm not real fond of the archive/interface that Yahoo has now. It's very hard to navigate.

Oh, and for $1.28 for the first year, I ended up registering a more "respectable" domain for it: HondaEliteForum.com

The original free ".tk" domain now redirects to the ".com". (and I have edited the original post in this thread)
