1987 se50 rebuild
Have 1987 Honda se50elite with AF05E engine. Looking for bolt-on big bore kit without modification to engine itself? Any suggestions? Local shops tell me no...

Re: 1987 se50 rebuild
Thank you very much, is it basically bolt on, carb and exhaust mods, or is there crank changes also?

Re: 1987 se50 rebuild
Greetings:
Polini and Malossi both made quality kits for the SE/05 Aero engines. They are of great quality and truly bolt-on without needing porting or much of anything else. The stock carb can be made to work just fine along with the stock exhaust. Changing the carb is trickier unless you can locate a vintage "for Vision" Amal-Arreche carb that bolts up to stock fittings. Wild Lion, Proma, or LeoVinci SP-3 pipes can maximize the 65cc to approach 60 MPH with gears and in good tune.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Re: 1987 se50 rebuild
Thank you for the info guys. I thought I was going to have to scrap the engine according to local shop. Anyone know where I can locate one of these kits?
