I suspect that most airboxes get taken off during carburetor removal, and never replaced because it sounds cool, then the airbox is lost or tossed. Even the airboxes that remain on all Expresses seem to have a tendency to crack and split, making them pretty useless. I just left a message to the prospective 2-speed owner...
