Jim Pomeroy's Pit Bike

Post by fightingplankton »

Hey Guys,
long time, no see. Been spending all my time in the guitar world for the last few years. Just had to pop in and tell you all about my find.
My dad was at a yard sale and saw a Honda C70 Passport. Its in rough shape, but the price was right. Then he asked the guy his name... Turns out it was Jim Pomeroy's friend and this was his pit bike. If any Pomeroy fans are interested I would sell, otherwise I'll keep it. Its a great bit of history.

Nice find! Plus have always liked the Honda Passports. Wish they were easier to find...

i came across Pomeroy's name a while back,...read his bio.
He had a great rookie year.
Plenty of C70 and Passports here noiseguy...they vary in price from 350 to extremely crazy.
Spree-I try to avoid them like the plague... :urban:

Since no1 seems interested in it, I don't mind telling you all... I only paid $40 for it. I could sell the speedo for that much according to eBay prices. Pretty psyched on it so doubt I'll part it out though.

Cool find :coolcruise: !

My Melody deluxe II was an ex-pit bike from the British Super Bikes series.
Unfortunately it wasn't owned by a famous rider, just a guy who checked the timing points around the circuit and got fed up at going 30mph
