Got a Dio today but not sure what model.

Post by johnkiniston »

Imgur Album

Body says Dio Produced by Honda.

Engine case is stamped with an AF34E

The book says 125cm^3 on it, But under the seat it says it's a SK50MV?

177KM on it, Looks a * of a lot like a mini version of my People GTI-300.

I found a weird looking YTR4A-BS battery for it on Amazon and ordered it along with some fork seals and tires.

SK50MV... a 50cc Dio model.

Owners manual is probably not from that bike... not original. Bike looks like a 50cc model based on pics.

You're going to have a fun time running down the replacement air cleaner on that one ;) Looks like this one: 17205-GAH-000

Is this the air cleaner? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001D ... SVTS7Q1JMA

I got the bike from a co-worker, He bought it in Japan when he and his wife lived there and then they brought it back to the US when they came back, It's been in his shed for decades.

The manual has his name, the name of the dealer and some other stuff written in the front of it, But maybe the dealer pulled the wrong manual when they sold it to him.

It came with a couple of what look like comic books that seem to be rider instruction?

I am really excited to get it going, My friend has been bugging me to get my Razz or Aero 50 going but the interest hasn't been there, here the interest is there....

Nice....rare bird for being in the USA.

That's a Generation 3 Live Dio. Non-ZX.

AF35 frame designation, AF34 Engine code.

Lots of mods for it in Japan/ Webike, yet very challenging to properly tune.
'87 Aero 50 STOCK (only 350miles)
'87 Aero (AF16 Corsa-PG-Short-OKO24mm-8.44)
'86 Aero (AF16 Corsa-SEF Black-OKO21mm-8.44)
'98 Live Dio ZX - 50th Anniversary Edition 68cc

Thank you S4Patrick! That gives me a bunch of search terms I can now work with.

Hopefully I'll turn up a belt with them as I don't trust 20 year old rubber.

Doesn't look like it, but I can't see your filter... Use the p/n I gave you and go to Ebay... you'll need one shipped from Japan if this is it: 17205-GAH-000. Visually ID filter prior to ordering.
