I need suggestions for alternative Spree turn signals.

Post by Kustomkarma »

Well...trying to sell my 1984 Spree has not been going so hot. I may just keep it at this point. One of the things it's missing is the rear rack and turn signals. I'm not too fond of the gigantic turn signal mounts it originally came with and was wondering if anybody has adapted some alternative signals and mounts to their Spree. I can find the original rear racks and mounts on Ebay from like $50 on up - but I'm still not that into them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Wait till April/May. Weather warms up and buyers come out of the woodwork. But youre in Florida and I suppose its 80 there in the Winter....if its 80 here, we go swimming!
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

Thanks for the thought. :) Up until this week the weather has been awesome, so I'm thinking it's more of a broke #ss thing. I've had it on Craigslist for awhile now and it's been a parade of freaks, and low ballers. Most recently, I'm starting to get droves of scammers - to the point that I had to pull my ad. I was hoping someone on here would want it. Getting it registered in my name is going to run around $125.00 and I've already got (2) 87's which I prefer to the earlier Sprees and my SE50 - my favorite scoot. It's a decent little ride and comes with a pile of parts.

That's one way to do it. :) Has anyone tried any of those newfangled LED all in one turn/brake/tail light thingees they have on eBay?

I'm going for one of these

Just have to figure out that LED flasher thingy. I already screwed up my nice 87' rear bracket with the tire rubbing and exhaust meltage lol.

I was looking at those too. I'll wait and see how yours goes before I order one. I can't seem to sell my Spree so I think I'm going to swap in a variated AF05e.

It will be here on Saturday! Trying to find one of those 3 pin flasher fixer deals. Maybe i only need 2 pin? I guess the 87 is 3 pin because of the clicky noise dealyo? Not sure but ill find out!

Yea Jakub said he bought some of your stuff. Your right about keeping what you have and swapping. SO FUN I can tell you from experience lol!

Hey if it helps someone out - and I've got too many of them. I am swapping a variated af05e into my '84 Spree. :coolcruise:

I was actually thinking of those since the stock turn signals seem to get caught on everything in my garage.
